Teachers deserve to be reminded of the positive impact they have on a child’s life. That’s why I decided to give our kid’s teachers personalized mugs for teacher appreciation gifts this year. I found some awesome teacher mugs from Crazy Cool Mugs that I know our teachers will love. I got creative and included some goodies in each mug, along with a cute gift tag with a pun to match the contents. Keep reading for how to make these 5 DIY Teacher Mug Gift Ideas with Free Printables.
You can purchase your Crazy Cool Mug here. They have many personalized mugs to choose from but the Dr. Sues mug and the “Teach, Motivate…” 15 oz. mugs were my favorites for teacher gifts. Their customer service was awesome and shipping was fast! When I opened the shipping box, I could tell they took great care in the packaging. Each mug was packaged with bubble wrap, in their own box, wrapped with more bubble wrap, and placed in the shipping box. You shouldn’t have any shipping issues with these standards 🙂
If you’re not sure what your teachers like (not a soda person, etc.) you can’t go wrong with a chocolate mug cake mix! But if you happen to know what she likes (see them drinking coffee or mention their favorite tea) then go with what you know.
And if you don’t know what the teacher likes, just pick up a Crazy Cool Mug and attach the generic “Happy Teacher Appreciation” gift tag as pictured below.

5. Booze in a Mug (Cheers to a great school year!)
Warning: most schools do not allow alcohol on the premises and I doubt you want to give your child alcohol to give to their teacher themselves :0 This mug gift idea is probably left best to give to close friends or family that are teachers. One of my best friends is a teacher and I know she wouldn’t mind receiving this gift from me but I would never give to my child’s teacher unless we had an understanding regarding this type of gift.
You could substitute the Red Bull pictured with a small bottle of cranberry juice or use a different beverage combo (Malibu and pineapple or rum and coke) or use a small bottle of wine or champagne.
