DIY Felt Easter Bunny Banner
Every year when Easter rolls around I see the Easter decor in stores and think to myself, “I can make that.” Have you seen those Fabric Easter Bunny Pillows with the big fluffy tail? Or the felt Bunny Garland (again with big a fluffy tail)? This Easter I finally decided to make my own Easter Bunny Banner and DIY Easter pillow! Keep reading and watch the how-to videos below for how to make this DIY Felt Easter Bunny Banner & Pillow With Free Printables!
Making this felt bunny garland was easy with my Cricut Maker Machine but I’m including a free template in case you don’t have a Cricut machine.
I highly suggest using a Cricut Maker or Silhouette cutting machine to make this project. Just upload the SVG or PNG in the program you use (I use Cricut Design Space), size, cut, and apply!
If you don’t have a cutting machine, you can use the Free Printable PDf file to use as a template to trace and cut the image by hand.
My favorite online resource to find SVG files to make Cricut craft projects is DesignBundles.net!

How to make the DIY Felt Easter Bunny Banner:
Supplies:
- Cricut Maker Machine
- Pink Fabric Cutting Mat 12 x 24
- SVG file (get it free below or use the PDF to cut by hand)
- Felt (I used 12 x 18 inches in beige felt)
- Medium-Sized White Pom-Poms
- Tacky Glue
- Twine
- Mini-Clothespins (optional)
Directions:
- Gather supplies. (I show you how to make the banner using the free SVG file and a Cricut Maker in the video below).
- Download the SVG file and upload to Cricut Design Space. Do you need help uploading a file to Cricut, let me know in the comments or send me a message, I’d love to help!
- Size the image depending on the size you want your banner. I sized my bunny image 5 x 7 inches in Cricut Design Space (The PDF is sized 5×7).
- Cut the image. I used my Cricut Maker Machine with the Rotary Blade to cut 6 bunny images in less than 5 minutes!
- Arrange the bunnies on the twine (you can either use glue or use the mini-clothes pins to attach the ears to the twine). If using glue, let dry overnight.
- Glue pom-poms to the bunnies as their tails.
- Hang the banner and enjoy!
This Felt Easter Bunny Banner was so easy to make and you can make it in other colors using other bunny images!
How to make the Fabric Easter Bunny Pillows:
Supplies:
- Cricut Maker/Silhouette cutting machine
- SVG file (get it free below or use the PDF to cut by hand)
- Fabric (I used remnant upholstery fabric from Hobby Lobby)
- Large White Pom-Pom
- Pillow Cover (mine was from Ikea)
- 1 Button (in your color choice)
- Rickrack (in your color choice)
- Tacky Glue
- Sewing Machine (optional)
- Needle and thread
Directions:
- Gather supplies. (I show you how to make the bunny pillows using the free SVG file and a Cricut Maker in the video below).
- Download the SVG file and upload to Cricut Design Space. Do you need help uploading a file to Cricut, let me know in the comments or send me a message, I’d love to help!
- Size the image depending on the size you want your bunny. I sized my bunny images 9 x 12 in Cricut Design Space.
- Cut the image. I used my Cricut Maker Machine with the Rotary Blade to cut 2 large bunny images in less than 5 minutes!
- Arrange the bunny on the pillow cover and use glue to adhere the fabric to the pillow.
- Stitch the fabric in place using needle and thread or a sewing machine. You can skip sewing but I’m not sure how the pillows will hold up in the wash if you only use glue.
- Glue one large white pom-pom as a tail on the bunny body. Hand stitch the pom-pom in place.
- On the bunny head with ears, glue the button as a nose and cut/glue the rickrack to size as whiskers.
- Hand stitch the button in place and stitch (either by hand or with a sewing machine) the rickrack in place.

Learning how to use your Cricut is really easy and fun once you get the hang of it. I love using Cricut Design Space print then cut feature. If you don’t have a Cricut Access Membership, I highly recommend it. I’ve had a Cricut Access Membership for years and it’s definitely worth the cost for all the benefits!
