3 Inspirational Books That Every Stay at Home Mom Should Read:
I admire Crystal with Money Saving Mom and this book was just the inspiration I needed to make a major change in my life. I started following the Money Saving Mom blog late last year, right around the time that she released the “Money Making Mom” book.
I was interested in different ways that I could make money from home, even though I already had an Etsy shop and was already blogging part-time. Crystal includes some great tips for beginner momprenuers and details success stories (her own and other women). It was just the motivation that I was looking for to keep moving forward with my side hustles so I could transition to a work at home mom. **I just checked Amazon and you can now get the Kindle addition for $2.99!**
This book is a must have if you are considering starting a blog. Abby walks you through starting and setting up a blog, step-by-step. I’m sure all bloggers will agree with me when I say that there should be college courses for blogging (there are some amazing courses online that I will talk about later). There is SO much to learn when it comes to blogging and I’m not even talking about the technical side (BTW, you only need basic computer skills to start a blog!). Abby’s book packages start at $25 (which may seem like a lot of money when you stay at home and aren’t making any) but it will be worth the investment, trust me! Get Building a Framework HERE.
I’m including this book because this is the book that encouraged me schedule the date to change my life. In this book, Peter suggests to set a date 6 months ahead with a goal – my goal was to quit my day job. So I scheduled the date in my day planner as “last day at work!” I kept that date in the back of my mind with every day that passed and every day I worked harder to make it happen. Check out this book if you have problems achieving your goals or need that extra motivation to finally make a change.
These are 3 books every work at home mom should read to help start and take your home business to the next level. Money Making Mom will give you tips and advice from other momprenuers with ideas on what business venture might work for you. Building a Frame Work provides instruction for creating an online presence through blogging and social media. 6 Months to 6 Figures gives you that extra push you need to set a goal and keep going until you achieve it. Want to know the secret to reading more books when you don’t have time?
I get it, I’m a busy mom and even before I started working at home, I had a desk job with a 1.5 hour commute each way and I wanted to read more. So I started to listen to my favorite books on Audible from my phone in the car.
You can listen to Audible on-the-go anywhere:
- Grocery shopping
- Folding laundry
- Doing dishes
- Making dinner
- And more!
If you have a busy lifestyle or striving for a successful entrepreneurship – Audible Books are the way to go!
Get through books quickly by setting the speed on the audible app at a fast speed then move on to your next book. If you find a particular book to be useful, just listen to the book numerous times (basically drilling new terms and ideas in your head).
I highly recommend downloading the Audible App and subscribing. The subscriptions are month-to-month and you get one free book a month with your subscription. The hubby and I share our Audible account so any books that he purchases, I have access to on my devices (including our new favorite gadget, Amazon Echo!).
If you go through my link HERE you can try Audible for FREE for 30-days!
Now that I work from home, I’m reading more and more. Not because I have more time but because I want to learn more to grow my home business. I’ve been able to invest in many eBooks that I can download on my Kindle and read while I’m on-the-go, or while the kids are watching their favorite TV show. A Kindle is perfect for those books that are unavailable on Audible.
