7 Hacks That’ll Make Your Home Look Clean in Minutes
Using the methods below, cleaning your home should only take 15 minutes for each room. If you find that it is taking longer, you probably need to de-clutter and organize your home better. You can learn how to organize your entire house in my eBook, Your Home Made Simple in 30 Days.
Get the Right Supplies:
Grab your supplies first. Having the right cleaning supplies will make the process faster and more efficient. Keep your cleaning supplies on each level of your home if possible. That way you don’t need to run downstairs for the multi-purpose cleaner 🙂
When guests enter your home, what is the first thing they see? Â Is it a pile of coats, shoes, and bags by the door? Â The entryway is yours and your guest’s first impression of your home. Speed clean your entryway with these steps:
Pick items off the floor and put where they belong (shoes in shoe basket, hang coats, bags, etc).
These speed cleaning hacks take less than 15 minutes for each room and will have your home looking cleaner in no time!

Awesome list Melanie! As someone who gets intimidated by too much clutter, it’s great to have a plan of attack. The only thing I’d add – if you have competitive kids, and can find a way to turn this into a game, you just get to watch while they do it all! (Following your tips of course)
Oh, I can relate to you, Melanie! I’ve had similar situations like I just got home from work at Friday and haven’t done any housework for about a week or so and everything looks messy an, there are dishes in the sink and so on, but then I have a call from my friends who’re coming to visit me. And then stress begin.
After a while, I bought a robotic vacuum cleaner and I can say that it really helps to maintain a clean house during the week. Ok, it’s just the floor that it can clean but still, at least I don’t have to stress about it anymore. Although there are so many other things to do…
Thank you for the tips! Now when I think about it it’s really important that you have the right cleaning supplies first. As I remember I’ve had some times when I was just looking for some of them for have an hour… And then I forgot what I even wanted to do next. So yeah, thank you for this tip!
I doubt that I’ll be able to clean the house in 15 minutes but your tips will will help me to do it faster..
The speed of cleaning is proportional to the time you have until the guests arrive lol. Great article and products suggestion Melanie! And yes Jason made a great point, getting a robotic vacuum can save you so much time.
Just omit the dishwasher and guest room tasks on this list. It should be faster to clean a smaller space and wash/dry/put away dishes after each meal or once a day 🙂
I needed this post! So many great tips! Thanks!!
Awesome! So happy to help!

Great idea!
Do you have easy hacks of big city folks living in small apartments that don’t have dishwasher access or guest rooms?
Hi Venice,
Just omit the dishwasher and guest room tasks on this list. It should be faster to clean a smaller space and wash/dry/put away dishes after each meal or once a day 🙂
