This question seems to come up often in blogging groups so in this post I’m sharing my tips on How to Find & Join Pinterest Group Boards. If you are a new blogger or have yet to grow your Pinterest account, this will show you how! I also share some insight on how to manage manual pinning and the strategies I use to get a consistent 200k monthly page views from Pinterest.
How to find and join Pinterest Group boards:
Here’s how to find Pinterest group boards…
- Click on the Pinterest message icon and send her a message through Pinterest (insert the example email below).
- Click on her website link, go to her Contact page, and look for her email address or the best way to contact her.
Sample Letter to email or send through Pinterest Chat:
Hi [insert name],
I started following you and your Pinterest group board, [insert name of the board] and would love to be a contributor.
I follow a system of manual pinning so I will not spam the board and will follow the rules 🙂
My Pinterest account name is https://www.pinterest.com/[insert your name]/
Thank you for your consideration!
[insert your name]
You might be wondering what in the heck is manual pinning? Well now that you’ve joined some group boards, it’s time for you to pin your content to those group boards, like, every day. Of course, there are online scheduling tools like Tailwind (my fav!) or Boardbooster that help you with scheduling your pins. But a little-known fact is that pinning yourself (not using scheduler) will yield the best traffic.
Pinterest wants you to be on their site, using it to pin, so the more often you are, the more your pins will get seen, repinned, and gain traffic.
Let me know in the comments if you have any other thoughts on joining group boards or manual pinning!
