Instant Pot
An Instant Pot is a must have for meal planning. We’ve had out Instant Pot since November 2016 and use it 2-3 times a week for meals.

Sheet Pans
Good quality sheet pans can be used for baking as well as roasting or cooking in the oven. We use ours 3-5 times a week to roast vegetables, meats, and baking items.
Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer
Kitchen Aid Stand Mixers have been around since my grandma was baking! We’ve had ours for 10+ years now and I will never go back to a hand mixer!
Ninja Blender System
We use our Ninja Blender 1-2 times a DAY! We use it to make smoothies and any recipe that calls for puree. Ours has an additional food processor and single-serve cups which we use daily.

Large Wooden Cutting Board
Meal planning is a since when you have a large cutting board for chopping all those fruits and veggies! Ours was handmade but this one looks very similar and high quality.
Quality Knife/Knife Set
You can’t have a great cutting board without a great knife or knife set. Ours were handed down from my father-in-law (who owned a cafe) so the knives we use are top quality chef knives but this chef knife looks very similar and has good reviews.
Mixing Bowls
Cooking and meal prepping require mixing several meals in one day so having extra mixing bowls is a must. We have some similar to these and these.
Glass Food Containers
Wide-Mouth Mason Jars
Use wide-mouth mason jars to store salads and fruits for the week. I prep kale salads and house salads in advance and store them in these large mason jars until it’s time to eat them. I also like to make fruit salad jars in these small mason jars, which is perfect for the kids to grab for a healthy after-school snack.
Easy Lunch Boxes
To make the most out of meal prep, you will need to invest in some good food storage containers. If you don’t already have some, these are the ones I use (they have lasted our weekly meal prep for 3 years now!) or you could try these (which get good reviews on Amazon).
Easy Lunch Boxes Mini Dippers
We use the Easy Lunch Boxes Mini Dippers for items that require small storage containers. They hold up well and are easy to clean!
Reusable Snack Bags
Invest in a few reusable snack bags so you can reduce your carbon footprint and your grocery bill. We love this brand because they are high quality.
Apron
Â
Meal planning and cooking can get messy so protect your clothes from spills with a good apron. Any apron will do but these are super cute! We have a Christmas tradition in our house where everyone wears a holiday apron while baking holiday cookies and the aprons make it fun!
